Magic is an old human practice. It is sometimes defined as deception by showing something to an audience, which is contrary to reality. In Islam this is part of magic, which is, however, defined as seeking the help of demons to perform something harmful against somebody.
In the light of the above definition, Islam considers magic to be an act of blasphemy. Thus, the Holy Quran say:
“Suleiman (Solomon) did not disbelieve, but the devils disbelieved teaching men magic“
[QURAN 2:102]
In an authentic saying, the Prophet of Islam p.b.u.h. said: Whoever goes to a fortune teller (a soothe sayer) or a diviner and believes him, has, in fact, disbelieved in what has been revealed to Muhammad.
Thus Islam condemns magic- even what is called the horoscope or luck or reading one’s palm to foretell the future is also prohibited in Islam. This is based on the belief that no one knows the future or the unseen except God almighty. That is why the Quran asserts that even Muhammad does not know the unseen. Concerning this, it says:
“If I had the knowledge of the unseen, I should have secured abundance for myself, and no evil would have touched me”.
[QURAN 7:188]
Again, God is described in the Quran as the knower of the unseen and the manifest (6:73) and as the holder of the keys of the unseen.
[QURAN 6:73-6:59]
In another tradition, Prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h. says: “Avoid the seven deadly acts which are: ascribing partners to God, magic, killing the human self which Allah prohibited except with right, eating usury, devouring the orphan’s wealth, defecting from the battle-field (without a justified reason) and slandering chaste, unwary believing women. Thus Islam has closed the door for practicing magic, simply because it is against its teachings, and it is deceptive and harmful.
Types of Black Magic
Back in the day, when magic was first introduced in Babylon by Haroot and Maroot, it was widespread to cause partition between happily married couples; thus far populace experienced it over and learnt it that much, that it has now developed into unusual types, causing different types of damage to mankind. Sihr is included in one of the extremely harmful kinds of sins or kufr. It is counted to be in one of those things that are said to be examined, in the past and currently, among the nations of the past, during the Jaahiliyyah and in the present ummah. The more lack of knowledge increases, the less there is attentiveness of belief, the fewer concentration the establishment pay to this topic. The Qur’an and Sunnah have explained the sorts of sihr and the verdicts on these topics. Sihr is called what it’s called today because it actually means to hide or keep secret, and for that reason the practitioners of sihr contract with things in secret which facilitate them to perform delusions to puzzle the public and betray their view, and/or to cause them damage or embezzle their wealth, etc.,
- Sihr al-Mahabba (The type of magic that deals with love and other love related problems.)
- Sihr at-Tafreeq (The type of magic that deals with divorces, separations, breakups etc.)
- Sihr at-Takhyeel (The type of magic used for possible hallucination.)
- Sihr al-Hawaatif (The type of magic used to torture by the help of voices.)
- Sihr al-Junoon (The type of magic that deals with lunacy.)
- Sihr an-Nazeef (The type of magic that results in excessive bleeding to the victim.)
- Sihr al-Khumool (The type of magic that deals with lethargy.)
- Sihr al-Maraz (The type of magic used for sickness.)
- Sihr of Impeding Marriage
- Al Sihr Ar-rabt (The type of magic that deals with Penile Erection Problem during sexual intercourse), Al- ‘ajz al-jinsi (Infertility) and Adh-dhu’f al-jinsi (The type of magic that leaves the victim with sexual weakness.)
My Comments: There are several such evil practices we are doing on daily bases , we have joined many such therapies, meditations, tv programs those are a reason to open evil doors in our houses. Remember nobody has enough time to keep casting black magic on you, the black magicians or so called fake Aamils charge thousands for casting one time spell, why they will keep sitting for you, why your enemies will keep investing such a big amount to pay them. Islam already defined protection rituals according to Ayaat, but we dont listen, we are followers of this new age and new era. We like music, movies and many of evils comes from this side too.
