What is Ilm al-Jafr?

According to renowned books and authentic scholars, the word "Jafr" is an abbreviation of "Ja’far", referring to Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (علیہ السلام)—the leader of the pious and master of the saints. Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (علیہ السلام) was a descendant of Imam Hussain (علیہ السلام), the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and the martyr of Karbala.
