The Auric Body refers to the energy field that surrounds and extends beyond the physical body. It is often described in spiritual, metaphysical, and esoteric traditions as a multi-layered, luminous field that reflects a person’s physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual state. The aura has long been described as an electromagnetic energy field that surrounds people—like an egg-shaped ball of energy that encompasses the body. The aura consists of seven levels/layers/auric bodies, also known as the physical, astral, lower, higher, spiritual, intuitional, and absolute planes.
Layers of the Auric Body:
- Etheric Body – The closest layer to the physical body, linked to vitality and physical health.
- Emotional Body – Connected to feelings, desires, and emotional well-being.
- Mental Body – Represents thoughts, intellect, and cognitive processes.
- Astral Body – The bridge between the physical and spiritual, linked to love and relationships.
- Etheric Template – A blueprint of the physical body in the energy realm.
- Celestial Body – Associated with higher emotions, intuition, and spiritual enlightenment.
- Causal Body (Ketheric Template) – The highest layer, representing the soul’s purpose and divine connection.
Each layer is said to vibrate at a different frequency, influencing and being influenced by a person’s thoughts, emotions, and spiritual development. The auric field can be strengthened through meditation, energy healing (like Reiki), and maintaining a balanced lifestyle.
Seeing your aura takes practice, patience, and a heightened sense of awareness. Here are some simple methods to help you perceive your own energy field:
1. The Hand Method (Beginner-Friendly)
- Find a Neutral Background: Use a plain white or black wall.
- Relax and Focus: Take a few deep breaths and calm your mind.
- Extend Your Hand: Hold your hand out with fingers slightly spread apart.
- Soften Your Gaze: Focus slightly beyond your hand rather than directly at it.
- Observe the Glow: A faint outline or colored haze may appear around your fingers. This is your aura.
2. Mirror Method
- Stand in Front of a Mirror: Use dim lighting for better visibility.
- Use a Neutral Background: A white wall works best.
- Gaze at Yourself: Look at the area around your head and shoulders, not directly at your face.
- Notice the Glow or Color: You may begin to see a subtle mist, color, or light surrounding your body.
3. Peripheral Vision Training
- Your aura is easier to see with your peripheral (side) vision.
- Hold an object (like your hand) in front of a plain background.
- Instead of focusing directly, look slightly away and observe the edges.
4. Meditation & Third Eye Activation
- Regular meditation can enhance your ability to perceive energy fields.
- Focus on your third eye (center of the forehead) and visualize your aura expanding.
5. Using Technology or Aura Photography
- Kirlian photography and special aura cameras claim to capture the aura.
- While controversial, some believe these devices can give a visual representation of energy fields.
Practice Makes Perfect!
At first, you may see a faint white or transparent glow, but with time, you may start to notice colors and patterns.
